Due to both these features, it can be considered useful as a way to increase weight.

At the same time, a research related to Shatavari found that its aphrodisiac (promoting sexual desire) property can be helpful in increasing weight.

Ashwagandha and Shatavari powder is easily available in the market. Take both of them separately in the quantity of 100 or 200 grams and mix them according to equal weight. This mixture can be used every morning with breakfast and at night before going to bed, adding one teaspoon to a glass of milk.

2. Grinding the root at home.

We have already told you in the article that both Ashwagandha and Shatavari are herbs. In such a situation, if these two are easily available in one’s nearby area, then their powder can be prepared at home.

For this, first wash both these herbs thoroughly and dry them in the sun. After this, taking it in equal quantity, grind it finely on a mixer or colander and make powder.

Then keep it in a closed box. You can also use this Ashwagandha and Shatavari powder prepared at home by mixing one teaspoon with a glass of lukewarm milk in the morning or evening.

3. In tablet or capsule form.

Ashwagandha and Shatavari tablets and capsules are also available in the market. These capsules can also be used on the advice of a doctor to gain weight.

What Should Be the Daily Dosage of Ashwagandha and Shatavari for Weight Gain?

So according to experts it is considered safe to take Ashwagandha up to about 3 grams a day. At the same time, consumption of 2 grams of asparagus in a day is sufficient.

The reason is that many people may also be harmed due to a particular condition or disease. In such a situation, some side effects of Ashwagandha and Shatavari can be seen as follows;

  • Pregnant women must not consume it without doctor’s advice. This is because the use of asparagus in high amounts during pregnancy can inhibit the growth of the child.(2)
  • On the other hand, excessive use of Shatavari can cause inflammation in the body as well as some problems related to lungs and skin.(3)
  • Ashwagandha is also used as a remedy to increase immunity. In such a situation, using it in excess may lead to autoimmune diseases (diseases caused by overactive immunity). These include conditions such as multiple sclerosis (destruction of the protective covering of the nerves), lupus (an inflammatory disorder affecting the brain, heart, skin, kidneys and blood cells), and arthritis (pain and swelling in the joints).
  • Not only this, it is also advised to stay away from intoxicants like alcohol while using Ashwagandha and Shatavari.
