How to make grilled fish with lemon and caper sauce?

Difficulty: Easy

  • Total time 25min.
  • Elaboration 5min.
  • Cooking 20min.

Dry the clean fish well with kitchen paper, season with salt and pepper and grill with a little oil, over medium-high heat, allowing it to brown well on both sides until it is cooked through on the inside . Remove to serving plates. If we had the oven hot (off), take advantage of the residual heat to keep it warm. Add a little more oil to the same pan and cook the chopped shallot with a pinch of salt, letting it fry for a couple of minutes . If using chives it may need a few more minutes. Add the strained lemon juice, a little of the fine zest and the broth or wine. Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes.

Add the dairy (or use a vegetable equivalent or virgin coconut oil), the mustard and the capers, stir well and cook until reduced for a few more minutes. Add fresh chopped parsley and spread over the fish. Serve immediately.

What to accompany fish with lemon sauce?

Depending on whether we prepare this dish for lunch or dinner, and depending on our nutritional needs, we can play with the garnish by adding some simple steamed (or microwaved), roasted or sautéed vegetables, a salad or some grain, such as brown rice, quinoa, polenta or a combination of both. Cooked potatoes are another good option that also combine very well with the sauce.

Bottom Line.

Grilled Fish With Honeyed Lemon and Caper Sauce is a delicious and flavorful dish that combines the savory taste of grilled fish with the sweet and tangy flavors of honey, lemon, and capers. This dish is perfect for a summer BBQ or a light and refreshing meal any time of year. The combination of ingredients creates a unique and satisfying taste that is sure to impress your guests.
