You’re not wasting your time — four 15-minute sessions can be just as effective as one 60-minute workout, depending on your goal.
For fat loss, cardiovascular health, blood sugar control, and general fitness, micro-sessions work extremely well. In fact, spreading movement across the day can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce sedentary stress better than one single session.
For muscle growth and maximal strength, it can still work — but intensity matters. Each 15-minute block needs to include focused, progressive work (not just light movement). The only limitation is you may miss some cumulative fatigue and metabolic stress that longer sessions create.
