I started practicing yoga to reduce stress and anxiety. Sometimes during breathing exercises I feel slightly dizzy or lightheaded. Is this normal for beginners or does it mean I am doing the breathing technique incorrectly?
Feeling lightheaded during breathing exercises in yoga can occur when breathing patterns are changed too quickly or when someone inhales deeply without proper rhythm. Beginners sometimes overexert their breathing muscles or hold breath unintentionally. Slowing down the pace and practicing under guidance usually resolves the issue.
