After three consecutive retirements at Spa, at Le Castellet during the 2023 Bol d’Or then at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, the objective of the Tecmas Racing Team will be to finally see the checkered flag, this Saturday during the Eight Hours of Spa- Francorchamps.
At the Eight Hours of Spa, This Saturday, the Berruyer Tecmas Team Finally Wants to See the Checkered Flag.
Since its victory, as prestigious as it is historic, at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Berruyer team Tecmas-MRP-Racing Team has never seen the checkered flag again in the Superstock World Endurance Championship. Whether last year, during the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps or at the Bol d’Or, the failure was even bitter, Kenny Foray, who had taken pole position each time, having been stopped before the end of his first stint with a mechanical breakdown.
But there is no question of giving up. Arnaud Sassone believes that “this first year in Superstock has whetted appetites. Our victory at Le Mans, during our first race in Superstock, will remain forever in the history of the team. The performance is there, the strategy too, we only lacked reliability in Belgium as in Castellet. Everyone keeps in the back of their mind the idea that it is entirely possible to win the FIM Endurance World Cup…”
